Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Self-Ordering Produk Berbasis Web Dengan Metode Agile

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged small and medium businesses to adopt web-based services to improve ordering efficiency and customer service. Sintia Distributor SR12 Parungpanjang still used a manual ordering process, causing customers to depend on administrators, especially when the store was busy. This condition could lead to longer service time, recording errors, and incomplete product information. This study aims to design and develop a web-based product self-ordering information system that enables customers to select products and submit orders independently while supporting administrators in managing products, orders, users, stock, payments, and sales reports. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach and Agile Development, consisting of Planning, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Review & Feedback. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and literature study. System modeling used Unified Modeling Language (UML), while functional verification used Black Box Testing. The resulting system provides product catalog, search, category filtering, shopping cart, checkout, order history, profile management, product management, order management, user management, dashboard, and sales reporting. Fifty functional test scenarios were documented and all were recorded as successful. The results indicate that the system can support more efficient ordering, reduce manual recording risks, and provide product information such as price, stock, and description in a more structured manner.
