Perancangan Web-based E-learning Interaktif Untuk Meningkatkan Pembelajaran Siswa Dengan Pendekatan Rational Unified Process (Rup) (Studi Kasus: SMK Mitra Bintaro)

Abstract

Digital learning tools are becoming more important in how vocational schools teach students, but a lot of schools are still using old systems that don't work well together. At SMK Mitra Bintaro, teachers usually explain lessons by speaking or using a projector.Students hand in their homework through Google Drive.However, the feedback to students is slow because teachers only check if a file has been uploaded, not the actual content of the work. This situation stops teachers and students from communicating outside of class time and makes it harder to assess them fairly. This study creates and develops an interactive web-based e-learning system that brings together material sharing, discussion areas, assignments, quizzes, and grading all in one place. The system development used the Rational Unified Process (RUP), which included four phases: Inception, Elaboration, Construction, and Transition.During this time, data were collected through a literature review, observing the school's activities in the field, and talking to the teachers and principal. The system was created using PHP, the Laravel framework, and a MySQL database. Testing the finished application using a black-box method shows that the login, materials, discussion, assignment, quiz, and grading features work as planned.This means the platform is now ready to help support a more flexible and well-documented learning experience at SMK Mitra Bintaro.
