Perancangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Keuangan Sekolah Berbasis Website Dengan Metode Waterfall (Studi Kasus: MI Daar El Muflihin)

Abstract

Financial administration management at MI Daar El Muflihin still faces several challenges because administrative payments, transaction recording, and financial report preparation are conducted manually. This condition causes administrative processes to require relatively more time and creates a potential for recording errors, and makes it difficult for parents or guardians to make payments and obtain information regarding bills. This study aims to design a website-based school financial management information system that can support financial administration management more effectively and efficiently. The system development method used is the Waterfall method, with data collection conducted through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The system was developed using PHP with the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL database, and integrated with the Midtrans Payment Gateway to support online administrative payments and the WhatsApp Gateway to send payment notifications and overdue payment reminders. The results of this study are an information system that can manage teacher data, class data, student data, billing types, student bills, payment transactions, income, expenses, salary payments, overdue payment information, and financial reports. The system also provides students with information regarding their bills and payment status and supports the printing of payment receipts and reports in PDF format. Testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method on the main system functions, including the login process, data management, bill payments, WhatsApp Gateway integration, reports, and the My Bills feature on student accounts. The test results show that all tested functions successfully operated according to the requirements and expected results.
