Pembuatan Sistem Informasi Akademik Sekolah Smk Sasmita Jaya 1 Berbasis Web Menggunakan Metode Waterfall

The development of information technology provides opportunities for schools to improve the quality of academic services through web-based information systems. Currently, SMK Sasmita Jaya 1 still uses manual methods in processing academic data, including scheduling, attendance, and processing student grades. This causes various obstacles such as data input errors, difficulties in monitoring attendance, delays in delivering information. As well as a lack of transparency to students and parents. This study aims to design and build a web-based scheduling, attendance, and grade information system that can help schools manage academic activities more effectively and integratedly. The software development method used is waterfall. Which consists of the stages of system design needs analysis, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The results of this study indicate that the information system developed is able to: (1) make it easier for schools to manage lesson schedules to avoid conflicts (2) support student attendance management more accurately and well documented (3) present academic grades transparently (4) provide real-time information access to students, teachers, parents through a web-based platform. Thus, the implementation of this web-based information system is expected to improve the quality of academic services, accelerate administrative processes, and support the digitalization of education at SMK Sasmita Jaya 1.
