Author Guidelines

Journal of Information Technology and Informatics Engineering

Thank you for your interest in submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Information Technology and Informatics Engineering. Please read and follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth submission and peer-review process.


1. General Requirements

Submitted manuscripts must be original works and have not been previously published. Articles may include original research papers, literature reviews, or case studies related to information technology and informatics engineering.

2. Submission Format

  • Language: Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian.
  • File Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF format.
  • Word Count: Manuscripts should be between 3,000 and 6,000 words, including abstract, keywords, and references.

3. Article Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following structure:

  1. Title: A concise and informative title reflecting the content of the manuscript.
  2. Abstract: A maximum of 250 words summarizing the research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  3. Keywords: Three to five keywords relevant to the manuscript topic.
  4. Introduction: Background, problem statement, and research objectives.
  5. Methodology: Research methods or engineering approaches applied in the study.
  6. Results and Discussion: Presentation and critical discussion of the research findings.
  7. Conclusion: Summary of key findings and recommendations for future research or practical applications.
  8. References: Prepared using the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style.

4. Writing Style

  • Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt.
  • Line Spacing: Single spacing (1.0).
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.0 cm) on all sides.
  • Page Numbers: All pages must be numbered consecutively.
  • References: Use APA 5th Edition for in-text citations and reference lists.

5. Manuscript Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS (Open Journal Systems) online submission platform. New users are required to register an account before submitting their manuscripts.

6. Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process conducted by at least two reviewers with expertise in information technology and informatics engineering. The editorial decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) will be communicated within 4–6 weeks after submission.

7. Publication Ethics

  • Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism.
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the data presented.
  • All sources must be properly cited and acknowledged.

8. Submission and Publication Fees

  • There is no submission fee for manuscripts submitted to this journal.
  • If any publication fee applies, authors will be notified after the manuscript is accepted.

9. Copyright and Licensing

Authors of accepted manuscripts are required to sign a copyright agreement granting the journal the right to publish the article and distribute it under the applicable licensing terms.
