Perancangan Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Website Pada Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Falah Dengan Metode Rapid Application Development (Rad)

Abstract

The library is a facility that supports learning activities and plays a crucial role in providing information resources for students. However, library management at MIS Nurul Falah is currently conducted manually, covering everything from recording book and member data to handling borrowing and return transactions. This approach often leads to issues such as recording errors, difficulties in data retrieval, time-consuming report generation, and an increased risk of data loss. This research aims to design and build a web-based library information system capable of managing book and student data, as well as borrowing and return transactions, in a more effective and integrated manner. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) approach, utilizing the Rapid Application Development (RAD) system development method. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and literature reviews. System was designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and developed through Requirements Planning, User Design, Construction, and Cutover stages. The research results indicate that the developed system helps improve the efficiency of library management processes at MIS Nurul Falah. Data processing has become faster, information retrieval easier, and report generation more accurate.
