Abstract

The development of mobile technology has influenced consumer behavior, including the fulfillment of pet-related products and services. However, the utilization of digital platforms by petshop businesses remains limited and has not been fully integrated into a dedicated system. This study aims to analyze consumer interests and needs as a basis for designing a mobile-based petshop marketplace. A mixed-method approach with a descriptive design was employed in this research. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 pet owners, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews with petshop business owners. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis as well as validity and reliability testing of the research instruments. The results indicate that consumers show a high level of interest in using a mobile-based petshop marketplace. The main consumer needs include ease of application access, comprehensive product catalogs, clear product and pricing information, secure payment systems, and a user-friendly interface. This study is expected to provide a reference for designing a mobile-based petshop marketplace that aligns with the needs of both users and petshop businesses.
