Software Testing Analysis on PHP and MySQL-Based Student Data CRUD Application Using Black Box Testing

Abstract

This study aims to analyze functional testing on a CRUD-based Student Data application developed using PHP and MySQL by applying the Black Box Testing method with reference to the ISO/IEC 29119:2022 standard. The testing process was carried out through structured stages, including requirement analysis, test planning, test case development, test execution, and test result reporting, covering nine main application features: login, home page display, adding student data, exporting data to Excel format, viewing student details, updating student data, deleting student data, the About page, and logout. The test results show that out of nine test cases executed, eight test cases passed and one test case failed on the About feature due to the absence of displayed information, resulting in a testing success rate of 88.9%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application has met basic functional requirements; however, improvements are still required for features that do not function optimally to enhance overall application quality.
