Author Guidelines
Journal of Community Service Synergy
Thank you for your interest in submitting your article to the Journal of Community Service Synergy (JSPM). Please read and follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth submission and review process.
1. General Requirements
Submitted articles must be original works that have not been previously published. Articles can be the results of community service activities, literature reviews, or case studies related to community empowerment and service.
2. Submission Format
- Language: Articles may be written in English or Indonesian.
- Format: Articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF format.
- Word Count: Articles should contain between 3,000 to 6,000 words, including abstract, keywords, and references.
3. Article Structure
The article should follow this structure:
- Title: A concise and clear title reflecting the content of the community service activity.
- Abstract: A maximum of 250 words summarizing the objectives, implementation methods, outcomes, and impact of the activity.
- Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords.
- Introduction: Includes background, problem statement, and objectives of the community service activity.
- Method: Describes the approach, location, target partners, and stages of the activity.
- Results and Discussion: Presents the outcomes of the community service and discusses their impact on the community.
- Conclusion: Summarizes the outcomes and provides recommendations or future directions.
- References: Use the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style.
4. Writing Style
- Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt.
- Line Spacing: Single spacing (1.0).
- Margins: 1 inch (2.0 cm) on all sides.
- Page Numbers: All pages must be numbered consecutively.
- References: Use APA 5th Edition citation style for in-text citations and reference list.
5. Article Submission
Articles must be submitted through the OJS (Open Journal Systems) online submission platform. New users must register first, then upload their manuscript through the submission workflow provided on the site.
6. Review Process
All submitted articles will undergo a peer-review process by at least two experts in the relevant field. The decision—acceptance, revision, or rejection—will be communicated within 4–6 weeks of submission.
7. Publication Ethics
- All submitted articles must be original and not previously published.
- Authors are responsible for the authenticity of the content and the accuracy of data or reported information.
- All quotations and references from other sources must be properly cited.
8. Submission and Publication Fees
- There is no submission fee for this journal.
- If the article is accepted, the authors will be informed of any applicable publication fees (if any).
9. Copyright and Licensing
Authors of accepted articles will be required to sign a copyright agreement, granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article under the applicable license.
