Perancangan Aplikasi Manajemen Surat Masuk dan Keluar Berbasis Web Dengan Fitur Notifikasi Menggunakan Metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) (Studi Kasus: SDN 1 Cilangkap)

Abstract

The management of incoming and outgoing letters at SDN 1 Cilangkap is still carried out manually using agenda books and physical archives, resulting in ineffective and inefficient processes for recording, searching, tracking, reporting, and disseminating letter information. This study aims to design a web-based letter management application with a Telegram notification feature, implement the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, improve the efficiency, accuracy, and security of data management, and determine user acceptance of the application. The system development method used is RAD, which consists of requirements planning, user design, construction, and cutover. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, and questionnaires. The system was designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), while testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results show that the application facilitates the recording, searching, management, and tracking of letters more effectively, efficiently, and securely. All system functions operated as expected based on the results of Black Box Testing. The application also provides role-based access for administrators, administrative staff, teachers, and the principal. The UAT results achieved a score of 92.89%, categorized as very good, indicating that the application is accepted and suitable for use. The Telegram notification feature successfully accelerates the delivery of information regarding important letters, approval processes, and submission statuses, thereby supporting coordination and improving the effectiveness of letter administration at SDN 1 Cilangkap.
