Perancangan Sistem Informasi Monitoring Praktek Kerja Lapangan Menggunakan Metode Agile Berbasis Website Pada SMK Jakarta Pusat 1

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged many educational institutions to implement digital systems to enhance the effectiveness of academic management and supervision. SMK Jakarta Pusat 1 still faces challenges in managing student internship activities, including manual record-keeping, ineffective communication between students, supervising teachers, and school administration, as well as poorly structured data documentation. These conditions result in an inefficient supervision and reporting process. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a website-based Internship Monitoring Information System using the Agile development method and the Laravel framework. Data collection was carried out through direct observation, interviews, and literature studies. The system is developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, and can be accessed by three types of users, namely Admin, Student, and Teacher. The result of this study is an internship monitoring information system that helps supervising teachers and school administrators monitor student activities, facilitates communication through automatic WhatsApp notifications, and stores all internship data in a structured manner. With this system, the internship monitoring process at SMK Jakarta Pusat 1 becomes more effective, efficient, and well-documented. This study is also expected to serve as a reference for the development of similar systems in other educational institutions.
