The Journal of Multidisciplinary and Intellectual Research (J-MIR) is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal committed to publishing high-quality, original, and previously unpublished scholarly works from all fields of science and multidisciplinary research.

This Scientific Publication Ethics Statement establishes the ethical standards expected from all parties involved in the publication process, including the Editor-in-Chief, Editors, Editorial Assistants, Reviewers, Authors, and Journal Administrators. J-MIR follows the principles of publication ethics recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), together with internationally recognized standards of academic integrity.

The publication process is based on the following fundamental principles:

• Originality – Preventing plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and unethical research practices.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief

• Define the journal's editorial policies, aims, and scope.
• Maintain the scientific quality and integrity of the journal.
• Ensure a fair, objective, and confidential peer-review process.
• Make final decisions regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection.
• Prevent conflicts of interest throughout the editorial process.
• Maintain publication schedules and editorial consistency.
• Handle ethical issues according to COPE guidelines.
• Promote continuous improvement of journal quality and international visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editors

• Evaluate manuscripts based solely on scientific merit.
• Select qualified reviewers according to the manuscript's discipline.
• Maintain confidentiality during the review process.
• Provide constructive editorial recommendations.
• Ensure manuscripts comply with journal policies and ethical standards.
• Recommend corrections, revisions, retractions, or withdrawals when necessary.
• Avoid discrimination and personal bias.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editorial Assistants

• Manage manuscript submissions through the OJS platform.
• Verify manuscript completeness before peer review.
• Communicate efficiently with authors, reviewers, and editors.
• Monitor editorial workflow and publication timelines.
• Maintain accurate manuscript records and metadata.
• Support copyediting, proofreading, and publication production.

Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers

• Conduct objective, constructive, and timely peer reviews.
• Evaluate originality, methodology, scientific contribution, and clarity.
• Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
• Identify relevant published work not cited by the authors.
• Report suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical misconduct.

• Submit only original and unpublished manuscripts.
• Ensure that the manuscript is not simultaneously submitted elsewhere.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Administrators

• Maintain and manage the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
• Manage user accounts and editorial roles.
• Ensure system security, backups, and website availability.
• Support DOI registration, indexing, metadata management, and digital archiving.
• Publish accepted manuscripts according to the editorial schedule.
• Maintain website performance and accessibility.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

• Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
• Data fabrication and falsification constitute serious ethical violations.
• Duplicate or redundant publication is not permitted.
• Conflicts of interest must be disclosed by all parties.
• Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific quality and relevance.
• J-MIR reserves the right to reject, retract, or correct published articles that violate publication ethics.
