Author Guidelines

Journal of Multidisciplinary and Intellectual Research (J-MIR)

Thank you for your interest in submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Multidisciplinary and Intellectual Research (J-MIR). Please read the following author guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth submission, review, and publication process.


1. General Requirements

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal. J-MIR welcomes high-quality manuscripts from all scientific disciplines, including original research articles, review articles, short communications, and case studies.

2. Submission Format

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian.
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
  • Length: Approximately 3,000–8,000 words, including abstract, tables, figures, and references.
  • Template: Authors are encouraged to use the official J-MIR manuscript template.

3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized as follows:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)
  3. Abstract (Maximum 250 words)
  4. Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  5. Introduction
  6. Research Method
  7. Results and Discussion
  8. Conclusion
  9. Acknowledgments (Optional)
  10. References

4. Writing Style

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 10 pt
  • Line Spacing: Single (1.0)
  • Paper Size: A4
  • Margins: 2 cm on all sides
  • Reference Style: APA 7th Edition
  • Reference Manager: Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is recommended.

5. Scope of the Journal

J-MIR accepts manuscripts from all fields of science and scholarly disciplines, including but not limited to:

6. Online Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) online submission platform. Authors must register an account before submitting their manuscript.

7. Peer Review Process

Every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on originality, scientific contribution, methodological quality, and relevance to the journal's scope.

8. Publication Ethics

  • Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
  • Data presented must be accurate and reproducible.
  • Proper acknowledgment and citation of previous works are mandatory.
  • J-MIR follows the ethical publishing standards recommended by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

9. Submission and Publication Fees

  • No submission fee is charged.
  • If an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies after acceptance, authors will receive official notification from the Editorial Office.

10. Copyright and License

Authors retain the copyright of their published work. By publishing in J-MIR, authors agree that the article will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
